Borough New Music hosts lunchtime concerts every Tuesday at 1pm from October to June - 34 concerts in all - at St George the Martyr Church, SE1 1JA (opposite Borough tube). Admission is always free, and light refreshments are served afterwards. It was set up in January 2017 as a non-profit-making trust. Its mission has three elements, all focusing on music of our time and living composers: (i) To provide a platform for performers, (ii) To provide opportunities for living composers to have their work performed, (iii) To promote the enjoyment and appreciation of the music of today to a wider audience.
