A Dust in Time
No matter who we are or where we are, in the past few months our lives and memories seemed to have slowly frozen in space and time. Inspired by the symbolism of the Mandala intertwined with the European tradition of the passacaglia, A Dust in Time has been created to give those affected by the pandemic a means to reflect and heal, and to find peace, strength, and hope.
BCMG has been delighted to record A Dust in Time as part of the latest Beijing Music Festival, and the piece is now available on demand on their iOSApp. We are now excited to return to our home venue at the CBSO Centre for the world live premiere of composer Huang Ruo’s piece.
Performed by BCMG String Quartet
There will be two live performances at the CBSO Centre on Sunday 13 December, at 1pm and 4pm, and a digital release of the piece at 4pm. The event will be one hour long with no interval.
