An Evening with the London Sinfonietta
Join the London Sinfonietta online for a very special fundraising evening of live performances, conversations and films. An exciting and beautiful collection of chamber performances will be accompanied by a behind-the-scenes look at the ensemble’s work in new music, in schools and the community and in programmes to support the best emerging talent for the future of new music in the UK.
Live-streamed from Kings Place near Kings Cross in London (where the organisation has its administrative home), the event will last a little over an hour and is presented by Zoë Martlew and Jumoké Fashola, featuring players from the ensemble, as well as contributions from special guests in the world of new music.
The evening will raise important funds for the future of the London Sinfonietta as we build up to a return to more normal work as the pandemic in the UK recedes. Every ticket sold will contribute to the total raised – so thank you in advance for purchasing and do encourage your friends to join us too!
The evening will also include the opportunity to bid on exclusive Silent Auction items, consisting of musical manuscripts, rare vinyl albums and a range of exciting experiences with the London Sinfonietta and friends. You can also join in with our Prize Draw where everyone who buys a ticket will be guaranteed a piece of musical history in our postcard series Hand Written (see below for examples). And simply make a donation in support of the London Sinfonietta’s work with musicians, composers and young people.
