Ana Sokolović – Golden Slumbers Kiss Your Eyes… | NAC Orchestra Canada

Canada’s National Arts Centre Orchestra celebrates its 50th anniversary with a tour to the UK, featuring a date at Cadogan Hall. The dazzling programme includes Serbian-Canadian Ana Sokolović’s 2015 composition inspired by music from imagined immigrant childhoods. Commissioned by the NAC, Golden slumbers kiss your eyes… sets folk songs and lullabies in seven languages. These will be brought vividly to life by Korean-Canadian countertenor David DQ Lee and London Voices.

Also on the programme is Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G performed by rising star Jan Lisiecki and Brahms’s Second Symphony.
