Borough New Music Series 6 – Chris Brannick & Sara Stowe

A unique duo, Sara Stowe and Chris Brannick, present a concert of music for soprano and percussion, with harpsichord and ukelele featuring here and there, for good measure. The programme includes work by the Mexican Jorge Vidales, Italian Giacinto Scelsi, American John Cage, Argentinian Mauricio Kagel – as well as several British composers and three London premeires. The influences of experimental music forms a trait throughout the programme, drawing upon literature by James Joyce and Heather Reid on its way.
