Deptford Shrine ( Ritual )
New Cross artist, PJ Yeboah, will hold a unique shamanic ritual in a south-east London pub as part of the Deptford X Fringe. Deptford X is London’s longest running contemporary visual arts festival, which this year runs 23 September – 3 October.
“Deptford Shrine” is a rare opportunity to take part in a ritual. Using music and other sensory elements, it is hoped that participants will be offered a glimpse towards the divine. Should you need to break loose from difficult thoughts, cast off a spirit or simply get in touch with a better part of yourself join us at:
· 4pm, Sunday 25th September 2016 and
· 4pm, Sunday 2nd October 2016,
at Job Centre pub, Deptford High Street.
Should you not be able to attend / take part in the ritual, the shrine itself will be on view for the duration of the festival ( 23rd September – 3rd October ).
PJ Yeboah is based in South London. He creates participatory, public works, often using sound, to attempt a communication with the spiritual self.
