Diagonal Joy
Sonic Bothy is an inclusive music organisation that provides a platform for musicians with additional support needs to explore, compose and perform contemporary music of all kinds. We work with musicians of all abilities to help extend their musical knowledge, composition and performance skills.
The performance will bring together members of the Sonic Bothy Ensemble and two learning programmes for an original new music piece.
This is a relaxed event and the City Halls venue is fully accessible. If you would like to attend but experience additional barriers, we may be able to help, please get in touch with Riah at
Sonic Bothy on 07916057504 or riahfairweather@hotmail.com.
‘While their ability to fluidly navigate through genres – drawing inspiration from Glasgow’s musical scene with echos of chamber, experimental, dance, improvisation, and classical composition – is impressive by any standards, the most outstanding part about Sonic Bothy is how much soul they put into their playing.’ – The Cusp Magazine (2017)
‘Sonic Bothy is extremely important because we are doing stuff that you wouldn’t normally find in a disabled musicians’ repertoire’ – Sonic Bothy Ensemble musician
