Described as ‘a natural, knowledgeable and engaging communicator’, pianist Duncan Honeybourne is known for his performances specialising in English music that demonstrate a ‘pianism of rarefied emotions and storming virtuosity (MusicWeb International).
His latest project is a chronological journey tracing piano miniatures through the 20th to 21st centuries. For this, Honeybourne has delved into the archives to bring rarely heard works to light. The compelling set to be presented here are by turns sunny, playful and evocative – perfect for a summer’s lunchtime concert.
