Forms In Flux – PART 1
If a text for performance isn’t just a sequence of words to be read from start to finish, what else can it be?
Forms in Flux is a livestreamed exploration into process-led poetic/textual performance, showcasing the works of seven brilliant artists experimenting with new ways of producing texts and new approaches to devising and designing their performance.
Join us for two evenings of expressive machines and recursive utterance, participatory glitches and self-destroying texts, physical constraints and digital chaos!
~ PROGRAMME ~
Forms In Flux will include performances from xvelastín, Wlkr Nthn and Jörg Piringer, as well as four performers we had the pleasure of discovering through our open call: Christina Karpodini, Alison Koehler, Alaa Yussry (CERPINTXT), and Ana Coltatu.
Their works will explore the performative potential of systematic and procedural modes of composition through pieces that engage with the performativity of compositional materials, that employ systems to dynamically disrupt a text’s structure and content, or become independent systems for holding and realising texts.
Xavier Velastín, Forms In Flux’s Co-Curator, will use the event itself as compositional material to generate a new performance.
