ICE WIND EXHALE [EKATERINA BAZHENOVA-YAMASAKI, FLORA YIN-WONG, ANA QUIROGA]
ICE WIND EXHALE is an emotional state. Some of the pleasure in hearing a work comes from having a mood sustained which nevertheless continually changes. The common word for the mind’s dimension is time. We are time. For the artists sound came into being as a means of recording the very movement of reality: factual, specific, within time and unique; of reproducing again and again the moment, instant by instant, in its fluid mutability – that instant over which they find themselves able to gain mastery by imprinting it on moving image. An evening of performances featuring new sounds and improvisation along with moving images and experimental film curated by Ekaterina Bazhenova-Yamasaki. Hosted by IKLECKTIK In collaboration with New Rituals, the event series exploring identity and spirituality in the post-digital age.
