Junior Improvising Orchestra
A lively orchestra of young players that performs improvised music, led by Simon Limbrick and Ewan Duffus. The musicians have been developing skills that focus on listening, responding and creating music. Some of the pieces are built around memorised materials and others are responses to each other’s ideas or even pure environmental sounds. There is always a sense of anticipation with the knowledge that no concert can ever be the same. The cellist Anton Lukoszevieze, renowned internationally for his improvised music-making, will be a guest with the orchestra for this concert. He will part of the orchestra and feature as a soloist.
