Lily Luca

Award-winning Lyon-based singer songwriter Lily Luca is talented with the sketchpad in more ways than one: she paints scenes rich in perceptiveness, rhythm and melody with the words of her bittersweet “chansons françaises” that she delivers with a mischievous charisma. Irony & humour pervade her fine vocals and when she’s not singing, she’s sketching with pens and pencils… Lily will be joined by guitarist Jean de Talhouët and multi-instrumentalist Fred Thomas. This will her first performance in the UK since the launch of her latest album “Le Charme Impénétrable des Artistes Torturés” in April this year.

The venue is a deliciously sumptuous sofa-filled home-crafted cinema like none other, housed in a beautiful building oozing the history both of the neighbourhood and of costume creation. Even the loos are like none other in London!! Uniquely again, a ticket entitles you to free tea/coffee. Stronger stuff is available at the riverside Mayflower Pub, only a few cobble stones away. Sands Films is an inspiringly intimate place to hear fabulous music.Tickets cost £14 each.Doors open at 7.15 and music starts at 7.45pm.  Do come along.
