London Mozart Players | Daniel Cook | Michael Bawtree
One of the UK’s finest chamber orchestras, The London Mozart Players made their JAM on the Marsh debut last year, alongside the Mousai Singers, conducted by Daniel Cook, performing amongst others the world premiere of Paul Mealor’s The Shadows of War to a packed audience. This year Michael Bawtree takes over the baton and Daniel Cook moves to the organ bench for a totally unique concert, during which they will perform the Poulenc Organ Concerto, Judith Bingham’s Jacob’s Ladder and Albinoni’s Adagio on three different organs from France, England and Holland! This has never been done before, and will give the audience the extraordinary opportunity of hearing these pieces performed on the appropriate organ, in one concert. Elgar’s Introduction and Allegro and Sibelius’ Rakastava complete this captivating programme.
