Mia Zabelka / Zahra Mani – live broadcast
Mia Zabelka, Glen Hall and Conny Zenk
The Austrian violinist and vocalist Mia Zabelka has been researching interdisciplinary improvisation technique since many years, a method she refers to under the term “automatic playing”. Mia’s “automatic playing” is a unique method developed by herself, using gestures to create instantaneous musical phrases in real time.
Glen Hall is Canadian multi-instrumentalist, improviser, composer and electroacoustic musician. He used his favoured performance software, developed at IRCAM, the artificial intelligence improvising ‘agent’, OMax, and the concatenative granular synthesis program, Catoracle.
Conny Zenk will be on visuals.
