The New Music Ensemble provides student musicians with a valuable opportunity to engage with 20th and 21st century performance. Under their director, Daniele Rosina, the group perform a cabaret inspired first half, with the music of Kurt Weill, followed by the premiere of a collection of new works by postgraduate, PhD and graduate composers inspired by the collection of art in The Barber Institute of Fine Arts. The movements are linked by a promenade written by BEAST and Studio Composition director, Annie Mahtani.
