NO FRONTIERS: Thallein

Joe Cutler Boogie Nights
Amoret Abis New Work
Roché Van Tiddens New Work
Martijn Padding Padding’s Millennium Peasant Dance No. 1
Martijn Padding First Harmonium Concerto

We are thrilled to welcome Martijn Padding for Frontiers week from the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague, where he is professor and head of composition.

Martijn Padding’s music is instantly recognisable, displaying a fascination for brightness, contrasts between the logical and the illogical, and cunning rather than grand gestures.

Thallein are delighted to present some key works from Padding’s recent oeuvre alongside Head of Composition Joe Cutler’s fascinating work for Barrel Organ and Ensemble, Boogie Nights, and brand new pieces from MMus composition students Roché Van Tiddens and Amoret Abis.
