Reassemble
After months of Lockdown, the London Sinfonietta invites you to come together online, and discover new soundworlds and enjoy a free afternoon of contemporary classical music streamed live to your living room in our groundbreaking one-day online festival, ReAssemble Online.
Across the afternoon and evening, a series of live streamed performances will present exciting world premieres of solo instrument and digital works including ones by Hannah Kendall, Gavin Higgins and Shiva Feshareki. Dai Fujikura’s Longing from Afar involves both public & professionals to create a moving work for lockdown, made especially for performance over Zoom. Later in the evening will be the first chance to see online Richard Ayre’s The Garden – a cautionary tale about our care of the planet recorded from a London Sinfonietta performance in 2019. Conversations, discussions and audience Q&As with composers (including George Benjamin), artists and London Sinfonietta musicians will punctuate the day.
Whether you’re new to new music or a loyal fan, there will be plenty to experience and inspire. Full details and schedule to be announced.
