RHYTHM STUDIES: AURORA – A TWILIGHT (AM) SOUND WALK
RHYTHM STUDIES: AURORA – A TWILIGHT (AM) SOUND WALK
14 October 6:50am-8:30am
Rhythm Studies is a series of sound and listening walks and activities that explore cosmic rhythms, cycles and spectra through vibrational signifiers, encouraging individual and communal sensings of – and attunements with – manifold worlds.

In the flux between night and day, we alight at daybreak, a time where slumbering creatures murmur and stir, when single leaves become distinct from the psithurism of a breezy nightfall.
In this walk, we will use our whole body – and collective ‘ear’ – to listen to and explore the shifting acoustic and vibrational relations of the Parkland Walk (a green corridor between Finsbury Park and Highgate). As we wander, the mysteries of twilight will fade and we will be faced with the bustle of plant growth and birdsong.
No materials or equipment are required beyond clothing relevant to the weather/environment, and a sturdy pair of shoes. Please note: cafes with facilities will be open at the end of the walk.
Participants are encouraged to be fully present in our bodies during the event. The use of listening and recording technologies such as bat detectors, parabolas, and listening trumpets are welcome, and we encourage sharing equipment within the group.
Attendees will be emailed before the event with maps, FAQs and an exact location for meeting up.
