SOLO 05 | Gabriella Swallow
This July, SOLO heads across town for an intimate gig from acclaimed cellist Gabriella Swallow in the historic surroundings of Handel’s music room.
Gabriella is an exceptional collaborator and her work spans everything from premièring new works at the Southbank Centre and performing at the BBC Proms, to late night gigs at Ronnie Scott’s and international tours with Judith Owen, Nigel Kennedy and Gwilym Simcock.
For SOLO, she’ll be performing contemporary works by Kaija Saariaho and Helmut Lachenmann, improvisations on Baroque works, and the world première of a new piece by Alex Groves.
