SOLO x National Gallery | Lotte Betts-Dean
This November, SOLO returns to the National Gallery as part of their Friday Lates for a series of free pop-up performances from mezzo-soprano Lotte Betts-Dean.
Lotte’s work encompasses everything from contemporary music and non-classical collaborations to art song, chamber music, opera and more. She’s a leading interpreter of new music, having given the world premières of over 30 works and performed at many of the major festivals and venues around the UK, in Australia and internationally.
For SOLO, she’ll be presenting three pop-up performances at 5, 6 & 7pm in response to the gallery’s Discover Manet & Eva Gonzalès exhibit. Each 15 minute set features an eclectic mix of contemporary pieces for voice and electronics including music by Caroline Shaw, Kaija Saariaho, Erin Gee and more.
