Soundwalking for Composers
Welcome to another Composers’ Workshop organised by Sound and Music and co-hosted with walk · listen · create.
In this workshop, we will look at an introduction to soundwalking and geo-located / locative sound work, and explore various tools and methods which can be used by composers to create work in this field.
Speakers:
Babak Fakhamzadeh (walklistencreate.org/)
Josh Kopeček (echoes.xyz)
Andrew Stuck (museumofwalking.org.uk)
Carina Pesch (www.textbote.de)
If you are interested in soundwalking, geo-located work, or any of the many soundwalking apps then join us to meet some of the people behind walk listen create, Echoes.xyz and Carina Pesch who created “The Ears May Travel“, a sonic work commenting on travelling and borders at the time of Covid-19.
This will be a relaxed workshop, you are welcome to keep video turned off and come and leave whenever. There will be live captions provided through an external app which are accessible via a browser.
If you have any access needs not covered here, please get in touch with Laonikos.PC@soundandmusic.org and let us know.
