World Première of Sea Requiem
North Sea Voices and Orchestra, directed by Dr Susannah Self, is a professional ensemble based in coastal North Norfolk.
Alongside Fauré’s beautiful Requiem, they are due to perform one of the most important choral premières in Cambridgeshire this year, Dr Self’s highly tuneful and harmonically rich Sea Requiem which, in addition to the traditional Latin texts, includes settings of poems about the sea by Keats, Dickinson and Whitman.
