What is The Sampler?
The Sampler is a listings and blog site bringing together the eclectic and extraordinary new music activity happening across the UK – with events ranging from live performances to radio shows, webinars to workshops, album launches to lectures and everything in between.
The site is populated with content by its users, and hosted by a team of experts from Sound and Music – the national charity for new music.
Why should I sign up?
Creating an account on The Sampler allows you to upload your own content as well as save events and posts to read again later. Click ‘Register’ in the top bar to create your profile.
How do I upload my events?
You will need to create a profile before you can upload any content. Click ‘Register’ to create your account.
When you are signed in, use the ‘Contribute’ button to create your posts. Once submitted, a member of The Sampler team will review your posts and publish them.
How do I subscribe to the newsletter?
If you’d like to receive monthly offers and ‘top picks’ from The Sampler on new-music-related news, articles and events, you can sign up to our e-newsletter which is delivered straight to your email inbox! Please click here to sign up.
How can I advertise on the site?

Can I write features for The Sampler?

Who are Sound and Music?
Sound and Music is the national charity for new music in the UK.
Our work includes composer and artist development, partnerships with a range of organisations, audience development, touring, information and advice, network building, and education.
We champion new music and the work of British composers and artists, and seek to ensure that they are at the heart of cultural life and enjoyed by many.
