This month we welcome the exceptionally talented composer Liz Lane to be The Sampler’s Guest Editor!
Liz Lane is a composer whose music has been performed throughout the UK and abroad, including Orchestra of Welsh National Opera, Bournemouth Symphony Chorus, Carducci Quartet, Foden’s Band and Norfolk Chamber Consort (USA), and broadcast on ITV, BBC1 and Radio 3. She writes for a wide range of musicians, diverse occasions and, more recently, music for brass band and collaborative projects.
Liz is Composer in Association with OpenUp Music, supported by UWE Bristol, where she is a part-time senior lecturer, and Composer in Residence with Lydbrook Band. She is published by Composers Edition.
A different kind of urban, commissioned by The Open University Choir to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Milton Keynes, will be premiered on 23 November.
