Darragh Morgan Album Launch

Darragh Morgan is a versatile violinist with an impressive number of professional recordings to his credit. This performance will round-off what has been a busy month for Morgan, especially with his upcoming Iranian tour with the Fidelio Trio. The album will feature a variety of contemporary electroacoustic composers, and will no doubt make full use of Morgan’s critically-acclaimed extended techniques.

Software workshop: making music with code

Have you ever wondered about how to start writing music with computers? Shelly Knotts has designed an introduction to SuperCollider for those looking to expand their compositional horizons. This event will prove accessible and perfect for those with inquisitive minds and a thirst to get started with some open-source programming.

Exploring Contemporary Vocal Music

Sarah Leonard has a reputation for brilliance when it comes to contemporary vocal performance. CoMA, under the direction of Leonard, will be exploring six newly-composed pieces by students at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Since CoMA are renowned for exploring unconventionally-notated music, it will be interesting to hear the students’ work explored by the ensemble.

An Assembly

With world premieres from Eleanor Cully and Louis D’Heudieres this concert will be one not to miss. We are promised a stylistic assortment of music for large ensembles, voices and electronics. This ensemble, under the direction of Jack Sheen, will give their first performance with the added incentive of free tickets!
