This month we’ve asked our talented Guest Editor Xenia Pestova to share her top 4 event picks from the Sampler!
There are so many exciting concerts happening in December – here is just a very small offering from the listings in the Sampler.

Xenia Pestova: Gothic
I know it’s daft advertising my own concerts, but I am excited about this programme. Debussy + Ed Bennett, Scarlatti + Patricia Alessandrini, Bach’s little preludes interspersed with Heather Hindman, Arlene Sierra, Annea Lockwood, Richard Emsley and Leo Chadburn (with the composer joining in on analogue synth) – an opportunity to find different perspectives on musics old and new.
7th + 8th December, 2017
Eva Zöllner and Heather Roche
Two virtuosi present new pieces for clarinets, accordion and electronics at Sonic Arts Research Centre, Belfast and Clothworkers Hall, Leeds. Their exciting programmes feature new music by Antti Saario, Farzia Fallah, Thierry Tidrow, Joao Pedro Oliveira, Luis Artunes Pena, Michelle Lou and Pierre Alexandre Tremblay. Not to be missed.
8th December, 2017
Eavesdropping
Eavesdropping is a positively thrilling new development instigated by soprano Juliet Fraser. Innovative events are held in the little wooden chapel in the eaves of Oxford House in Bethnal Green. In this instalment, vocalist/percussionist Alba Cabral and violinist Mira Benjamin will deliver undoubtedly stunning performances. Email info[at]eavesdropping[dot]london to reserve tickets.
