Boom Prof Development Opportunity 1819Oxford Contemporary Music
OCM is now accepting applications for Boom 2018/19.
Boom is OCM’s annual professional development scheme for music / sound practitioners and producers who are interested in creating and presenting inspiring contemporary music or sound based work outside of the concert hall and gallery (i.e. in unconventional spaces and outdoors). The scheme supports the development of artists who are passionate about engaging with large and diverse audiences with contemporary performance, digital practice and installation work.
OCM actively strives towards equal opportunities for all and diversity in all areas of its activity, and positively welcomes applications from disabled people and people of any ethnicity, age, belief, sexuality, and gender.
Boom residencies with OCM enable practitioners and producers to lead their own development, research or training programme over one year with no expectation of specific outcomes beyond the evidence of real and effective learning in their practice and profession.
Applications should be submitted by
noon on Monday 26th February 2018.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview in Oxford in March.
The Boom residencies will begin on 1st April 2018 and finish on 31st March 2019.
