A partnership-based biennial Festival established in 2016 has added impetus to CoMA’s programme of ensemble and repertoire development which together serve its aim to encourage and facilitate active participation in the creation and performance of contemporary music by music-makers of all abilities.

We are looking to recruit a trustee with proven fundraising experience to join the Board of CoMA Contemporary Music for All to contribute to ensuring continuity during this time of expansion and change, and to support the long-term financial sustainability of the charity through a planned and dynamic approach to fundraising.

CoMA’s current focus is to reinforce and build on Festival partnerships being established across the UK, Europe and beyond, connecting amateurs and professionals, pupils and educators, those with little experience and those whose whole lives are lived in new music, to be creative together. In so doing to radiate CoMA’s aims of participation and inclusion into the communities where music is made, to catalyse those relationships, and empower musical connections and futures that wouldn’t exist otherwise.

The Board meets four times a year, currently via Zoom, otherwise in London with an option to attend online. In addition to attending Board meetings, trustees are expected to contribute to CoMA in their area of expertise various ways, including working groups that may be established form time to time.

If you are interested in applying, send a copy of your CV and a one page letter describing your interest in joining CoMA and what you would bring to the fundraising leadership of the organisation by email to info@coma.org. The closing date is Friday 30th April. We will discuss applications with those shortlisted in early May, by arrangement.

The role description and person specification can be found at www.coma.org/jobs. If you wish to discuss any aspect of CoMA’s activities, email info@coma.org to arrange a suitable time to talk with CoMA Director, Chris Shurety MBE. In the meantime you can find out more about CoMA by visiting our website at www.coma.org.
